Story: Seven people live in seven rooms in the same house, every day they go through their daily routines. One day people start disappearing from the house one by one and leave no evidence of them ever existing. None of the people ever notice it, not even the main character. The player must discover what's going on and save the main character, while he's limited to just giving the main character suggestions on what to do and where to go.Characters
The player- an entity that has always been there for the main character, even if she only sort of notices it. The player causes small objects to move and suggests where she should go and what she should do.
The main character- A young woman who has no idea what's going on, she only slightly notices the player's presence and acts like the player is her imaginary friend.
The main character's boyfriend- a shy young man who loves the main character deeply, despite only dating her for a couple months.
The other five character's - five college students living in the same house as the main character. They've all known each other for a while and decided to split the rent of the small house.
Environments- outside will be snow covered and snow will block the door. The inside will be wooden and cozy looking for the first few days. However as the days go by and more people disappear the lighting gets darker and darker.
Time period - modern day
Location-Somewhere cold, I haven't exactly decided yet.
Designs, lighting, colors,etc.- as the days go by the lighting and colors get darker and closer to black, respectively. Naturally the main character's don't notice this.

Your research phase was off to a good start but wasn't seen through to a completed state. But you did find some great references that reinforced your ideas, just focus on fleshing those ideas out more. Also please use the naming conventions for post titles as found in the syllabus. Your final deliverable showed more progress in fleshing out your game concept but still needed more effort to get the ideas to a state where you can develop solid art assets for your game idea. Remember research, concepting and reference gathering are a foundation to solid design efforts. More is always better than less. You need to spend some more time with your ideas...take the time to write them down and find supporting references. You will find that your ideas take on new forms as you get them out of your head. You had on average a paragraph and an image for each of the main areas of your game. You need at least 4 times that much information to then condense it down and make some solid game concept images. If you need help finding better strategies to tackle these weekly projects please see me at lab time.
